Del árbol de las virtudes
tengo que cortar varias hojas,
tres Almas y tres Marías
y tres Aurelias hermosas.
Una docena de Rosas
encantadas para Cosina,
siete de ellas, Josefina,
si entre ellas una, Leonor.
De las Islas Filipinas
son las mujeres tan lindas
y tan de grande promesa,
y el amor de dos Teresas.
Me rodean tres Quirinas
y veo las Celestinas
una Raquel por mi hora
una Inés, una Isidora.
Con conostancia las amé
y por una Salomé fuerte
me cedo una Flora,
una Juanita me aguarda.
Y una Refugio me quiere
y por mis amores muere
una Petra, una Lugarda,
y una Antonia y una Pabla.
Con ingratitud tirana
también una Feliciana,
pues llamo a todas amoroso
y desde que vea a Justosa
la saludo con anhelo.
Helándome sin Consuelo,
solo me quedo con Rosa,
Piedad tiene encantado,
Y amarrado en una Cesaria,
una Silveria y una Varia,
sueño muy alborotado,
siendo todo de un agrado,
todas vivo adorando,
con Ursula platicando
gozo de su vista afable,
una Genoveva amable,
Siempre por mí está llorando.
Rosenda estaba creyendo
que Rosana me quería,
también una Rosalía,
con ella me fui siguiendo.
Elena se fue riendo
y luego que vi a Carolina
le pide que a Florentina
No le hable con Eficacia,
y me dice muchas gracias,
mira, viene tu Cristina,
mi amor se lleva una Gabina,
La cual la adoro con pena,
y se queda Nepomucena
quejándose de Faustina.

Of the tree of virtue
I must cut various leaves,
three Almas y three Marys
and three beautiful Aurelias.
A dozen Rosas
enchanted for Cosina,
seven of them, Josefina,
if among them one, Leonor.
In the Philippine Islands
the women are very pretty
and of great promise,
and for the love of two Teresas.
Two Quirinas surround me
and I see the Celestinas
with Raquel for my hour,
one Inés, one Isidora.
With constancy I loved them,
and for a strong Salomé,
I relinquish a Flora,
and Juanita watches over me,
and a Refugio loves me
and for my love will die,
a Petra, a Lugarda,
and an Antonia and a Pabla.
With tyrannic ingratitude
also a Feliciana,
well calling all amorous
and since I saw Justosa,
I greet her with yearning.
Freezing without Consuelo,
I am alone with Rosa,
my soul has her enchanted.
And tied up with a Cesaria,
a Silveria and a Varia,
I sleep very fitfully
everything so pleasant,
I live to love all of them,
with Ursula talking
I enjoy her affable gaze,
a friendly Genoveva,
Always crying for me.
Rosendo was believing
that Rosana loved me,
also a Rosalía
with her I was following.
Elena went laughing,
and after I saw Carolina
she asks that Florentina
Not talk with Eficacia.
And she tells me many thanks,
look, here comes your Cristina,
my love takes away a Gabina,
who I love with shame,
and Nepomucena is left,
complaining about Faustina.
